Hello, Open Source 👋
We are very excited to release some of the things we’ve been working on. The Hedera and web3 ecosystems are filled with talented open source software contributors, and we at Calaxy are thrilled to do our best in giving back. Through these tools we hope to validate our commitment to being an open source ecosystem ourselves, and that these tools are helpful for others.
These open source repositories include: an app to manage tokens across potentially anonymous and autonomous communities (like DAOs), a developer tool that makes it easy to create test scenarios on the public network, and the (arguably) most exciting of which — the initial introduction of The Creator’s Galaxy Improvement Proposal process. 🪐
Hedera Token Service (HTS) Distribution Tool 💸
The hts-distribution-tool is the easiest way to manage treasuries, facilitate airdrops, and giveaways on the Hedera network. It leverages the network’s scheduled transactions and native multi-signature support to help teams, DAOs, and communities coordinate transactions on the network in a secure and efficient manner.

Hedera Test Scenario Creator 🔐
Often, projects that are building on Hedera need to spin up and create a variety of test accounts and entities on the Test Network. The hedera-test-scenario-creator is built using the .NET SDK for Hedera, and is the easiest way to create the resources required for developers to test treasury management, account association, among many other use cases.

The Creator’s Galaxy Improvement Proposals 👾
CGIP, or The Creator’s Galaxy Improvement Proposals, is a publicly transparent and verifiable mechanism by which participants can suggest, discuss, and track the progress of changes within the decentralized ecosystem. CGIP is modelled on the Hedera Improvement Proposal, or HIP.
The CGIP repository is currently populated with CGIP-1, which defines the process, and two initial draft proposals, for which feedback would be greatly appreciated. These include, Creator Application Approve/Deny Lists by which Creator’s can approve 3rd party applications and so signal to Fans the authenticity of those application (CGIP-2), and a standard for issuing Verifiable Credentials to Creator’s that attest to their identity and relevant attributes (CGIP-3).

Moving forward
These projects will be actively contributed to through standard open source practices, with their future being entirely in the hands of the community. Stay tuned as we continue to release more and more open source software into the ecosystem for everyone to use.
